MEIRC TRAINING CENTER (MTC) FOR TECHNICAL TRAINING
Meirc Training Center for Technical Training (MTC) was established in 1993 by Meirc Saudi Arabia For Human Resources Development (MSA). MTC was established to provide technical training for Saudi basic, secondary, and supported light industries in Jubail Industrial City /Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia
MTC training programs of both types: general and tailor made, are developed, coordinated, conducted, and evaluated by highly qualified staff in technical training. They are university graduates, bilingual with experiences ranging from 15-30 years in oil and petrochemical industries.
MTC adopted and conducted a variety of training programs, and with the latest technologies, from 25 training opportunities in 1993 to 1500 opportunity in 2003, and from 3 offered training courses to more than 200 training course. This fact summarizes the journey of MTC over the last 10 years. The journey of success, acheivments, and development.
The following mission statement was adopted to confirm MTC’s direction into the next decade.
MTC defines quality in terms of the ability to meet or exceed customer’s needs, and expectations; accordingly, MTC adopted the following quality policy.
TC mission forms the framework within which the following vision was developed.
While mission statement indicates what is MTC’s purpose, Vision indicates what do - we want MTC to look 10 years from the year 2001
MTC offers variety of competency (skill) based training programs, such programs covers the following:
1 - Machine Trades (Power, Maintenance, Machining, Welding and Metal Fabrication, Control and Hydraulics &Pneumatics 2 - Electrical Trades (Power and Machines, Electronics 3 - Instrumentation Trades 4 - Safety 5 - Chemistry 6 - Physics 7 - Engineering Drawing
The Targeted populations of MTC training programs are: 1 - Skilled workers 2 - Craftsmen 3 - Technicians 4 - Technologists (Professionals) Training programs can be conducted on job as well as of job
MTC is a Trainee-Centered training center; therefore its training programs are designed around full active involvement and interaction of the trainees. Variety of training techniques and methods are applied, such as:
1 - Presentations and Skill demonstrations 2 - Drills 3 - Discussions 4 - Role playing 5 - Brain storming and brain writing 6 - Coaching 7 - Media and Audio -Visuals 8 - Others
